Visas
You'll need to consider what kind of Visa you'll need for your move to Australia. There are two types of working visa, detailed below.
Working/Skilled Visa: The General Skilled Migration Programme
This consists of a number of independent and sponsored visas designed to allow skilled workers and their families to emigrate to Australia. Skilled trades workers are in particularly high demand. Interested applicants are encouraged to complete an Online Skilled Visa Assessment, which you can find by clicking here.
The Working Holiday Visa Programme
This is designed to allow people between 18 and 30 years of age the opportunity of a lifetime to enjoy an extended holiday in Australia combined with short term employment - living, working and travelling in Australia for up to 24 months. You can now apply online for a Working Holiday Visa to Australia by visiting the Visa Bureau.
Sponsorship
It may be possible that the company you work for will sponsor your move to Australia. Essentially all we charge is a management fee for looking after your sponsorship, which is based on a percentage of your salary. With the current laws surrounding the business visa this charge can be offset by tax breaks under the Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA) scheme, which gives tax concessions to overseas employees working in Australia on a temporary basis.
