Paul's Predictions...

24 Jan 11 - 12:00AM  | General
Our Chairman Paul Farrer made his predictions for 2011 in Recruitment International back in December, and here they are below. He's already got the Ashes right...

2010 saw a strong return to growth in the Media, Advertising and Communications Sector with the world'ss biggest advertising group, WPP, predicting further growth for 2011.

Next year will also see the build up in advertising terms for the London Olympics which will fuel further growth. So all in all we should see another strong year in our markets and be in a better position to push back on the recessionary downward pressure on fees and margins.

Internal recruiters will continue to grow in number within large employers and more direct recruitment will continue as a result but those offering specialist recruitment with long standing relationships should still prosper. Social Media, Video & Mobile will continue to influence our candidate engagement strategies. Biggest issue for a lot of recruiters will continue to be their ability to recruit and retain key staff.

England will win the Ashes and the Rugby World Cup and Matt Cardle will play Glastonbury!
